Marlins' Yonny Chirinos: Loses 40-man roster spot

The Marlins designated Chirinos for assignment Tuesday.

The move comes one day after Chirinos was roughed up for five runs on nine hits and four walks over five innings in a loss to the Mets. He's held a 6.30 ERA over six starts for Miami this season and seems likely to clear waivers.
