Mets' Eduardo Nunez: Diagnosed with hyperextended knee

Nunez is considered day-to-day after hyperextending his left knee in Sunday's loss to the Braves, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Nunez suffered the injury while running out a play at first base late in Sunday's loss, but he'll avoid the injured list for now. He isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets and is officially considered day-to-day as he recovers.
