Kilome cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to the Mets' alternate training site.
Kilome had a fair amount of hype as a prospect in the lower levels of the Phillies' system a few years ago, but it's evidently entirely worn off at this point, as every other team in the league passed up the chance to claim him. Still just 25 years old, he could play a role for the Mets at some point this season, but he won't be one of the team's first call-ups as he's no longer on the 40-man roster.
