Nationals' Jonny Venters: Called up by Washington

Venters' contract was selected by the Nationals on Tuesday.

Venters allowed 13 runs (nine earned) in 4.2 innings of work with the Braves earlier in the season before getting released. He allowed just a single run in seven innings with Double-A Harrisburg but also walked more batters (six) than he struck out (four).
