Mazara was released by the Tigers on Wednesday.
Mazara was designated for assignment by Detroit on Friday, but he'll hit free agency rather than joining the minor-league club. The 26-year-old has slashed .212/.276/.321 with three home runs, 19 RBI and 12 runs across 50 games this year.
