Orioles' Cody Carroll: Sent to alternate camp

Carroll was optioned to Baltimore's alternate camp site Thursday.

This move frees up a roster spot for Thursday's starter, John Means, who was reinstated from the injured list. Carroll struggled across his only two appearances of the season, recording just one out and allowing six runs on three hits and four walks.
