Padres' Jurickson Profar: Resting Sunday

Profar is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

Profar will begin the Padres' regular-season finale on the bench after going 1-for-8 with two runs scored over the first two games of the series. Unless he pinch hits Sunday, he'll end the 2024 regular season with a .280/.380/.459 slash line, 24 home runs and 85 RBIs (both career highs) across 668 plate appearances. David Peralta will start in left field and bat third.
