Vieaux had his contract selected by the Pirates on Sunday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Vieaux pitched out of the Pirates' bullpen earlier in the season but was designated for assignment in mid-July. He allowed eight earned runs across five innings during his first stint with the club and will occupy a low-leverage role.
