Pirates' Miguel Del Pozo: Optioned after rough outing

Del Pozo was optioned to the Pirates' alternate training site Saturday.

Del Pozo made a relief appearance in Friday's game against the Tigers but gave up three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out two over two innings. He largely struggled over five outings this year but will attempt to right the ship at the alternate camp. Right-hander Nick Mears' contract was selected in a corresponding move.
