Palacios is absent from the Rays' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With the Reds sending a southpaw to the mound for the second straight game Saturday, Palacios will begin the contest in the dugout. Brandon Lowe will start at second base and bat third against Cincinnati left-hander Andrew Abbott.
