Diaz is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.
The 32-year-old will yield to Jonathan Aranda at first base Tuesday, giving Diaz his first day off after playing 10 straight games. During that stretch, Diaz is batting .341 with a pair of homers.
