O'Neill (lower leg) rejoined the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Wednesday but is not expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list before the end of this week, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
O'Neill is eligible for activation Wednesday, but he resumed baseball activities Tuesday after recovering from a lower leg infection and will need more time to build back up. He will travel with the team on its road trip which begins Thursday and could be activated next week in Houston if all goes well.
