Ramos was designated for assignment by the Reds on Tuesday.
Ramos has batted just .243 with a .660 OPS in 23 games (86 plate appearances) this season for Cincinnati. He made it through waivers unclaimed when he was DFA'd in early July and could pass through again without garnering interest from other teams.
