Decker was traded to the Rockies on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.

He was subsequently assigned to Triple-A Albuquerque, where he will serve as first base depth in an organization that is very thin at the position. This represents an upgrade for Decker, as he was unlikely to ever see notable big league at-bats with Eric Hosmer entrenched in Kansas City.
