Rockies' Jordan Sheffield: Optioned to Triple-A

Sheffield was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque following Monday's loss to the Padres.

Sheffield tossed scoreless frames Sunday and Monday, but that presumably made him unavailable for Tuesday's doubleheader, so the Rockies removed him from the roster to open up a spot for a fresh arm.
