Ryan Burr: Placed on release waivers

Burr was placed on unconditional release waivers by the White Sox on Monday.

Burr was sent to Triple-A Charlotte in May and will be let go by the White Sox if he goes unclaimed on waivers. He made eight relief appearances in the majors earlier in the year and posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in nine innings.
