Tigers' Kerry Carpenter: Resting against lefty

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

With a tough southpaw (Cole Ragans) taking the hill for Kansas City, the lefty-hitting Carpenter will retreat to the bench for the series finale. Mark Canha will replace Carpenter in right field.
