The Tigers informed Meadows after Monday's game against the Guardians that he'll be optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Meadows has seen only three at-bats in May after going 6-for-60 over 25 games in April, and Detroit has finally seen enough. Ryan Vilade is expected to be recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
