Tebow announced his retirement from professional baseball Wednesday.

The 33-year-old joined the Mets in late 2016 on a minor-league deal and worked his way up to the Triple-A level over three seasons. Tebow found some success at Double-A with a .734 OPS in 84 games, but he struggled after being promoted to Triple-A in 2019.
