Luplow was designated for assignment by the Twins on Monday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Luplow posted a .751 OPS over 26 games with the Twins, but he started just two games after the calendar flipped to September, so the club decided to remove him from the roster to open up a spot for Michael Taylor. It remains to be seen if Luplow will remain with the Twins or join a fourth organization this year.
