Contrary to a previous report, Javier (quad) will begin the season in extended spring training, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
He is on the mend from a mild quad strain, but will not be ready to go for the start of the Low-A season. Look for him to join Cedar Rapids in the coming weeks.
