White cleared waivers Thursday and was sent outright to Double-A Somerset.
The Yankees claimed White off waivers from Tampa Bay on May 9, and he remained on the 40-man for just 11 days before being DFA'd on Monday. He has appeared in two games for Somerset since joining the Yankees organization, allowing two earned runs across two-thirds of an inning.
