  • Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Fills box score in victory Wednesday

Chisholm went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run, an RBI and a stolen base in a 9-3 win over the Astros on Wednesday.

Chisholm was a key part of a Yankees offensive barrage that included 13 hits and nine runs. After beginning August with a .148 batting average over his first 17 games, Chisholm has come alive at the plate of late, collecting three multi-hit efforts over his past four contests and slashing .571/.625/.929 with one homer, two doubles, four RBI and three stolen bases during that span. He's been as good on the basepaths as ever this year with 36 thefts through 123 games, though Chisholm's current .708 OPS is on pace for a career-worst mark (excluding his brief 21-contest cup of coffee during his first taste of the big leagues in 2020).

  • Travis Bazzana 2B | CLE

Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Knocks in winning run

Bazzana went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

Bazzana was instrumental in a late-game rally that saw the Guardians score three runs in the final two innings. He singled and scored in the eighth inning and then drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth with a sacrifice fly. The rookie's been on a roll of late, going 10-for-27 (.370) with two doubles, one steal, six RBI and five runs scored over the last seven games.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

    Athletics' Jeff McNeil: Sitting Wednesday

McNeil is not in the Athletics' starting lineup against the Twins on Wednesday.

McNeil will take a breather after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Minnesota. Tommy White will start at first base and bat fifth against Twins southpaw Connor Prielipp.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Not available to start Wednesday

Massey (head) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Massey will need at least one day off following his removal from Tuesday's 5-3 win after falling and hitting his head while making a throw to first base. Per MLB.com, Massey showed improvement after exiting the game, and the Royals haven't indicated that he's exhibiting any symptoms of a concussion. Tyler Tolbert will fill in for Massey at second base in the middle contest of the three-game series.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Taking on everyday role

Moore will start at second base and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Moore will draw his fifth start in as many days at the keystone following his promotion from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday. He's gotten on base just three times over the last four games, though he's provided a solo home run and a double during that stretch. Moore should have a clear path to an everyday role in the infield while Nolan Schanuel (intercostal) is stuck on the injured list.

  • Cole Young 2B | SEA

Mariners' Cole Young: Rare breather Wednesday

Young is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Phillies.

It's only the second day off all season for the left-handed-hitting Young, who will grab a seat as the Phillies send southpaw Jesus Luzardo to the bump. Brock Rodden will slot in at second base in Young's stead.

  • Justin Foscue 2B | TEX

Rangers' Justin Foscue: Pops homer in loss

Foscue went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the White Sox.

Foscue launched his ninth home run of the season as part of the Rangers' three-run sixth inning. The right-handed-hitting Foscue typically starts against left-handers and owns a .304/.388/.588 slash line against southpaws in 2026.

  • Vaughn Grissom 1B | LAA

Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Goes deep twice Tuesday

Grissom went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three total RBI in Tuesday's 8-6 extra-inning loss to the Guardians.

Grissom did significant damage against Cleveland's pitching, taking Gavin Williams deep for a two-run homer in the first inning before adding a solo shot off Logan Allen in the fifth. The latter blast restored the Angels' lead at 6-5, but the bullpen couldn't protect it. Tuesday marked Grissom's first multi-homer game of the season and represented an encouraging power display for the 25-year-old, who has gone yard a career-high nine times in 2026.

  • Chase Meidroth 2B | CHW

White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Three hits in win

Meidroth went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Tuesday against the Rangers.

Meidroth tallied three singles, the second of which drove in a run to put the White Sox up 8-1. It was a needed performance, as he entered Tuesday's game having gone just 5-for-39 across his last 10 games. Meidroth also recorded an RBI for the first time since Aug. 13, a span of 11 starts.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Leaves game early

Massey was removed from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays due to a head injury.

Massey hit the ground hard after making a leaping throw to first base in the fifth inning and was immediately replaced at second by Tyler Tolbert. The Royals say that Massey is already feeling better, but he may still be evaluated for a concussion as a precaution. If he ends up needing to miss additional time, Tolbert figures to be the next man up for starts at the keystone.
