Brady House SS | WAS
Nationals' Brady House: Out of Saturday's lineup
House isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
House will miss back-to-back starts to begin the series, though he managed to collect a base hit during his pinch-hit appearance Friday. Paul DeJong will pick up another start at the hot corner and bat third.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Logs two RBI in win
Chapman went 1-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and one walk in Friday's 15-8 win over the Orioles.
Chapman hit an infield single with the bases loaded in the first inning, driving in San Francisco's first run before later coming around to score. The third baseman added another RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second and drew a walk in the fourth before scoring again. Chapman had struggled earlier this month before being placed on the 10-day injured list due to right hand inflammation. Since being reinstated after a minimum stay, he's slashing .286/.385/.619 with seven runs scored, six RBI, two home runs and two stolen bases across 26 plate appearances in six games.

Oliver Dunn 3B | MIL
Brewers' Oliver Dunn: Booted from 40-man
The Brewers designated Dunn for assignment Saturday.
Dunn hasn't appeared in a game for the Brewers since mid-April and is slashing .201/.304/.326 at Triple-A Nashville since being sent down. Now that Robert Gasser (elbow) has returned from the 60-day IL, Dunn will end up as the odd man out of a spot on Milwaukee's 40-man roster. His poor performance in the minors makes it likely he'll pass through waivers unclaimed.

Connor Norby 2B | MIA
Marlins' Connor Norby: Two hits in return
Norby went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Mets.
Activated off the IL earlier in the day after recovering from wrist surgery, Norby got the start at third base and batted sixth in his first big-league action since July 11. The 25-year-old will hold down the starting job at the hot corner until Graham Pauley (oblique) gets healthy, at which point the Marlins could have a tough decision to make -- Norby has a .244/.291/.368 slash line in 73 games this season, while Pauley had a .254/.371/.492 line in 26 games after getting called back up from Triple-A Jacksonville when Norby went down.

Blaze Alexander SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Role changing
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Friday that Alexander's role will shift from primary starter at third base to playing various spots around the field after top prospect Jordan Lawlar was called up to the majors, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.
Alexander had been the primary starter at third base since the Eugenio Suarez trade but slid over to second base Friday while Lawlar manned the hot corner. Lovullo said Lawlar would be limited to the left side of the infield -- shortstop or third base -- and would start against all lefties, while the manager does a mix-and-match against righties. Lovullo also said the righty-hitting Alexander could get starts in center field, where the Diamondbacks are lefty heavy.

Blaze Alexander SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Pops homer in win
Alexander went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 3-0 win over the Dodgers.
Aelxander is up to seven homers this season, and three of them have come over his last seven games. The infielder has gone 7-for-25 (.280) with four walks and nine strikeouts in that span. He's up to a .234/.331/.441 slash line with 19 RBI, 21 runs scored and two stolen bases over 168 plate appearances. Alexander has gotten most of his recent playing time at third base, though he covered second base while Ketel Marte served as designated hitter in Friday's contest.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Under the weather
Muncy (oblique) did not participate in baseball activities and was sent home Friday due to an illness, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
It's a slight setback for Muncy, who continues to rehab from a right oblique strain that landed him on the 10-day injured list Aug. 15. He's expected to embark on a rehab assignment next week, and the veteran third baseman is targeting a return from the IL during the Dodgers' weekend road series against the Orioles starting Friday, Sept. 5.

Brady House SS | WAS
Nationals' Brady House: Taking seat Friday
House is out of the lineup for Friday's game versus Tampa Bay, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
House started the previous two games but will head to the bench Friday while slumping at the plate, as he has a .194/.203/.239 slash line and 36.2 percent strikeout rate through 20 games in August. Paul DeJong is instead manning the hot corner and batting seventh for Washington.

Cesar Prieto SS | STL
Cardinals' Cesar Prieto: Contract selected
The Cardinals selected Prieto's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.
Prieto is a high-contact, low-power infielder who has slashed .296/.358/.453 with 10 home runs with a 13.4 percent strikeout rate this season at Memphis. He's capable of handling second base, third base and shortstop and will likely operate in a reserve role. Prieto will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

Cesar Prieto SS | STL
Cardinals' Cesar Prieto: Set for Friday call up
The Cardinals will select Prieto's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Prieto will be making his MLB debut when he gets into a game. A previous report had indicated the 26-year-old second baseman would join the team Thursday against the Pirates, but he'll be called up in time for a three-game weekend road series against the Reds instead. Prieto has slashed .296/.358/.453 with 10 home runs and 11 stolen bases in 450 plate appearances with Memphis this season
