Nootbaar went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 8-7 win over Miami.

Nootbaar launched a two-run blast in the third inning as part of a three-hit effort. The 29-year-old has been hot of late, slashing .417/.500/.750 with three homers, 10 RBI and five runs over his past 15 games. Nootbaar is hitting .247/.349/.393 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 31 runs and two stolen bases across 80 contests between St. Louis and Arizona in 2026.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Ohtani (biceps/knee) will hit off a tee Tuesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Ohtani finally landed on the 15-day injured list last Friday after attempting to play through multiple injuries. He is ready to start ramping his baseball activities back up but will not be eligible to return until Sept. 23. Josue De Paula has been slotting in at designated hitter for the Dodgers since Ohtani landed on the IL.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.

Suarez gave the Reds a 3-2 lead with a three-run shot in the sixth inning. It was the 35-year-old's second straight game with a homer, and he's now gone deep four times and driven in nine runs in eight September contests. On the year, he's slashing .213/.307/.435 with 24 long balls, 68 RBI, 45 runs scored and a stolen base across 459 plate appearances.

Ramirez went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.

Ramirez entered a 4-4 game with a runner on second in the ninth inning and launched a 407-foot walk-off blast. It was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing year for the 25-year-old, who owns a lowly .669 OPS over 30 games since being recalled by Miami. On the year, he's slashing .225/.318/.348 with four homers, 21 RBI, 27 runs scored and four steals across 214 major-league plate appearances.

De Paula went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run, a double and a walk in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Marlins.

De Paula smacked a 416-foot blast for his first major-league hit before reaching base in his next two trips to the plate. The top prospect has now gone 2-for-7 through three games with the Dodgers, and he's reached base in each game with an impressive 4:0 BB. It was his first game in the field, and it's worth noting that he was lifted for a defensive replacement in the sixth inning.

Suarez went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 13-9 loss to the Brewers.

Suarez homered in the second inning to put the Reds on the board. It was his 23rd homer of the season and fifth in the last 12 contests. Suarez has found a power stroke in the second half with a .494 slugging percentage (12 homers) and an .834 OPS over 47 games since the break.

The Diamondbacks optioned Del Castillo to Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Del Castillo was summoned from Reno last weekend but will head back in favor of Pavin Smith, whose contract was selected in a corresponding move. Del Castillo has slashed .196/.249/.313 with five home runs, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored, one stolen base and a 13:55 BB:K across 195 trips to the plate at the big-league level this season.

Eldridge went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a double in Friday's 7-5 loss to San Diego.

Eldridge hit an RBI single in the first inning and added a leadoff double in the eighth. The 21-year-old has reached base safely in 19 straight games, batting .366 with 20 RBI, seven runs scored and two home runs in 86 plate appearances during that span. On the year, he's slashing .270/.362/.460 with 53 RBI, 48 runs scored, 16 long balls and a stolen base across 425 plate appearances.

The Dodgers placed Ohtani (knee/neck) on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right biceps inflammation, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.

Ohtani attempted to play through nagging biceps, knee and neck injuries, but a stint on the IL was warranted after the superstar slugger suffered a setback earlier this week. Because of his placement on the 15-day IL as a two-way player, Ohtani will not be eligible to return to action for the Dodgers until Saturday, Sept. 26, against the Giants, the penultimate regular-season game of 2026. Top Dodgers prospect Josue De Paula had his contract selected from Double-A Tulsa ahead of Friday's game against the Marlins, and he figures to see the bulk of starts at DH for as long as Ohtani is on the shelf.

Nootbaar is absent from the Diamondbacks' lineup Friday against the Rangers.

As the Rangers trot out southpaw MacKenzie Gore, the left-handed-hitting Nootbaar will ride the bench for Friday's series opener. Lourdes Gurriel will slot in as Arizona's designated hitter and bat seventh.
