Lopez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

The Marlins are resting several everyday players during Sunday's regular-season finale. Assuming he doesn't appear off the bench Sunday, Lopez will finish his excellent 2026 campaign having slashed .305/.349/.437 with 11 home runs and 34 stolen bases. Javier Sanoja is handling shortstop for the Marlins on Sunday.

Ortiz (knee) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Ortiz is banged up, primarily nursing a knee injury in addition to abdominal and groin issues. He'll sit out Sunday's finale in hopes that he'll be as close to 100 percent as possible for the NLDS. David Hamilton will handle third base for the Brewers on Sunday.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said after Saturday's game that the MRI results on Ortiz's knee were "good" overall, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports. However, Ortiz likely won't play Sunday against the Cardinals.

While Ortiz avoided a major injury to his knee, he's also been dealing with abdominal and groin issues, including abdominal swelling. It sounds like Milwaukee will exercise caution and hold Ortiz out of the regular-season finale to ensure his availability for the start of the playoffs. David Hamilton figures to make another start at the hot corner in Ortiz's absence.

Tovar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against the White Sox.

Tovar blasted his 13th home run of the season in the fourth inning of Saturday's win. It has been a disappointing season overall, but he has managed to end the campaign in relatively strong form with a .302 average, three homers and 13 runs scored across 19 games in September.

Bogaerts went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 10-7 win over the Diamondbacks.

Bogaerts has displayed more consistency at the plate in September, going 23-for-73 (.315) over 22 games. However, he's supplied just six RBI and seven extra-base hits this month. Overall, Bogaerts is batting .231 with a .676 OPS, 13 homers, 57 RBI, 68 runs scored, 18 doubles, one triple and 22 stolen bases over 153 contests this season.

Saggese will start at shortstop and bat eighth Saturday against the Brewers, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Saggese was originally in line to sit out Saturday's contest, but he'll be forced back into the starting nine as Masyn Winn moves to the bench with a sore thumb. Saggese is on track to end the season on a sour note after going 0-for-20 with 10 strikeouts across his last six games.

Winn was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers due to thumb soreness, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn is still feeling lingering soreness from the thumb fracture he suffered in late August, and because the Cardinals have nothing left to play for this season, they'll opt to keep the 24-year-old on the bench in both of their remaining games. Thomas Saggese will enter the lineup and start at shortstop in Winn's place.

Mauricio went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

Getting the start at second base and batting ninth, the 25-year-old switch hitter launched a solo shot off right-hander Jake Irvin in the seventh inning and a two-run blast against southpaw Richard Lovelady in the ninth. Since missing the entire 2024 campaign due to knee surgery, Mauricio has struggled to earn a regular spot in the Mets' lineup, but his power remains intriguing -- he's homered 21 times in 90 games this season between Triple-A Syracuse and the majors.

Saggese isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.

Saggese will move to the bench Saturday after going 0-for-20 with 10 strikeouts over his last six games. Nolan Gorman will replace him at third base and bat sixth.

Ortiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis.

Ortiz was removed from Friday's game after aggravating a knee injury that he's been dealing with alongside abdominal and groin issues, per Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee. With the Brewers already having clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, the team will give the 28-year-old a day off to recover, and he'll also undergo an MRI to determine the extent of his various injuries. David Hamilton will start at third base as a result and bat ninth.
