  • Aiva Arquette SS | MIA

Marlins' Aiva Arquette: Shelved again at Double-A

Arquette (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Pensacola on Saturday.

It's Arquette's third trip to the injured list this season after previously dealing with a thumb injury and undergoing core muscle surgery earlier in the campaign. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Arquette has slashed .272/.326/.459 with 12 homers, 48 RBI, 44 runs scored, 21 stolen bases and an 18:62 BB:K across 291 plate appearances between High-A and Double-A this season.

  • Twins' Kaelen Culpepper: Exits after HBP

Culpepper was removed from Saturday's game against the Guardians after getting hit on the back by a pitch, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Culpepper was taken out of the game immediately after taking a 95-mph fastball off his upper back in the third inning. He was diagnosed with a shoulder contusion after X-rays came back negative following his removal, per Audra Martin of Twins.tv, though Ryan Kreidler could still benefit from an uptick in at-bats if Culpepper sits out a day or two beyond Saturday.

  • Darell Hernaiz SS | ATH

Athletics' Darell Hernaiz: Optioned to Vegas

The Athletics optioned Hernaiz to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Hernaiz has appeared in just nine games since coming up from Triple-A in mid-August, during which he went 4-for-19 with two RBI and a run scored. He'll now be pushed off the 28-man roster to help make room for Shea Langeliers (knee), who returned from the injured list Saturday.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Huge performance with two HRs vs. Yanks

Lindor went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a 12-2 win against the Yankees on Saturday.

Lindor set the tone quickly, driving Gerrit Cole's third pitch of the game over the right-field wall for a leadoff homer. The veteran shortstop went deep again in the eighth inning, this time with the bases loaded for a grand slam. Lindor has homered six times through his first 10 games in September, batting .255 with 13 RBI and 10 runs over that stretch. The power surge has pushed him up to 20 home runs overall for the ninth straight season -- not including the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

  • Alika Williams SS | ATH

Athletics' Alika Williams: Sitting down Friday

Williams isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Seattle.

Williams will get a chance to regroup after going 0-for-13 with two strikeouts over his last four games. Donovan Walton will fill in at shortstop and bat sixth.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Rays' Gavin Lux: Resumes full activity

Lux (shoulder) has resumed full baseball activity, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lux has been held out all season by shoulder and ankle injuries, but he seems to be making significant progress in his recovery from left shoulder inflammation that caused him to pause his rehab assignment in mid-July. The Rays still haven't confirmed that Lux will miss the entire 2026 campaign, but with roughly two weeks remaining in the regular season, his chances of returning in time are very slim.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Returning to action Friday

Henderson (foot) is in the lineup for Friday's matchup against Toronto, per Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com.

Henderson will return to the starting nine after missing the previous game with a foot injury he suffered Tuesday against Cleveland. The 25-year-old will man shortstop and bat fifth for Baltimore during Friday's series opener.

  • Mason McCoy SS | SD

Padres' Mason McCoy: Elevated to San Diego

The Padres recalled McCoy from Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

McCoy will log his first stint with the big-league club after being called up Friday. In El Paso this season, the 31-year-old has slashed .284/.359/.408 with 10 homers, 67 RBI, 88 runs scored and 37 stolen bases over 546 plate appearances. The Padres moved Ty France to the paternity leave list to open a spot for McCoy on the active roster.

  • Jacob Wilson SS | ATH

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Undergoes shoulder surgery

Wilson underwent left shoulder labral surgery Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Additionally, Wilson was administered a PRP injection Tuesday to combat patellar tendinitis in his right knee. Wilson first injured his shoulder back in early May, and he was ultimately limited to just 80 games in an injury-shortened 2026 campaign. The shortstop could be ready for Opening Day, though he is likely to be slow-played during spring training.

  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Back in St. Louis lineup

Winn (thumb) will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Friday's game versus the White Sox.

Winn was scratched from the lineup for the Cardinals' last game Wednesday in San Francisco, just one day after he had returned from a left thumb fracture. He may continue to deal with some lingering soreness in the thumb the rest of the way, and the Cardinals plan to evaluate Winn's readiness on a day-to-day basis.
