Coach Doc Rivers said Middleton (ankle) just did skill development at Saturday's practice and would likely need to go through 5-on-5 work to be cleared for Milwaukee's regular-season opener against Philadelphia on Wednesday, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
Middleton continues to work his way back from injuries in both ankles and was forced to miss the entire preseason. While there is optimism that the 33-year-old forward will be good to go for Opening Night, he will likely have to go through a full practice first.
