Markkanen (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game at Indiana, Evan Dammarell of WKYC 3 News Cleveland reports.
It will be the ninth straight absence due to a sprained right ankle for Markkanen. He resumed participating in light basketball activities last week, but it's unclear when he'll be able to return to game action for Cleveland.
