Melton declined his $3.45 million player option for 2026-27 on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Melton underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee in December 2024 and returned to the Warriors for the 2025-26 campaign, during which he averaged a career-high 12.3 points along with 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 23.0 minutes per contest across 49 regular-season games (24 starts). He's now set to explore his options in unrestricted free agency.
