The Hornets exercised the third-year team option on Miller's (hip) contract Wednesday.
This was a mere formality for the Hornets, as Miller is poised to be a key player for the franchise for many years to come. Miller is currently sidelined by a hip injury and is set to be re-evaluated at the beginning of November.
