Head coach JJ Redick said that Sexton (calf) did not experience a setback, but the Lakers will sit him out of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Warriors as a precaution, Daniel Starkland of Lakers Nation reports.
It sounds like Sexton is day-to-day, so for now, he should be considered questionable for Friday's meeting with the Clippers. Quentin Grimes, Jake LaRavia and Sandro Mamukelashvili will help pick up the slack in Sexton's absence.
