Whitmore posted 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-5 FT), four rebounds and a steal over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 122-110 preseason loss to the Clippers.
Whitmore made the most of an extended run off the bench. The 22-year-old signed a two-way deal with Denver in September after Cleveland waived him following a five-team trade. With DeMar DeRozan ahead of him on the depth chart, Whitmore faces a fight for minutes, and his deal limits him to 50 regular-season games.
