Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle confirmed Thursday that Turner (foot) will be shut down through the All-Star break, James Boyd of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Turner hasn't played since Jan. 14, and the Pacers only have four more games before the break, so this news shouldn't come as a surprise. The Pacers are hopeful the NBA's best shot blocker (2.8 per game) can return to action shortly after the break, but Turner remains without a firm timetable. Prior to sustaining a stress reaction in his left foot, Turner averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.5 three-pointers in 29.4 minutes. Whenever he returns, Turner will be rejoining a frontcourt that no longer contains Domantas Sabonis, who was traded to the Kings on Tuesday.
