Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Won't return Sunday

Murphy (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Wizards, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. He finished with 22 points (8-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 29 minutes.

Murphy was helped off the floor late in the third quarter after turning his left ankle while attempting to grab a rebound. Jordan Hawkins and Brandon Boston will likely take on larger roles for the rest of Sunday's game due to Murphy's injury. Until the Pelicans offer an update on Murphy's status, he can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Tuesday's game versus the Timberwolves.
