Smart (forearm) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Mavericks, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Smart is on the cusp of ending a three-game absence with a forearm strain. He should play a bigger role with Reed Sheppard (back) out of the lineup Friday.
