Douglas was released by the Grizzlies on Saturday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

The Grizzlies signed rookie Wayne Selden to a contract Saturday, so they'll cut Douglas loose to clear a roster spot. Douglas had been a regular contributor in February and early March, but only played a combined 10 minutes over the Grizzlies' last four games, as youngsters Troy Daniels and Andrew Harrison cut into his workload. The veteran will now become a free agent and try to latch on with a team looking for additional offensive firepower in the backcourt.
