Wizards' Vernon Carey: Let go by Washington

The Wizards waived Carey on Wednesday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Carey spent most of his team this season in the G League and averaged just 0.5 points and 1.0 rebounds in 2.5 minutes across 11 games with the Wizards. His release will open up a spot on Washington's roster.
