Brooks had 11 points (4-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three steals and one assist in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 92-88 loss to the Jazz. Brooks continued to score in double-figures while producing little else. He is basically a scorer who puts up some random defensive numbers, quite often in bulk. He has failed to produce any steals in the majority of games but has then delivered games with multiple numbers. He is fine to own in deeper leagues but really doesn't possess the upside to warrant standard league ownership.
Brooks totaled 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), and five rebounds in 27 minutes during Sunday's 101-86 loss to the Raptors. Brooks scored in double-figures for the 10th time in his past 11 games. He has seen some consistent run in the starting lineup and has looked good on the offensive end of the floor. He doesn't offer much else but is going to be on the floor as the Grizzlies play for lottery balls. While his scoring is nice, he is really only a streaming option for those in need of a scoring boost.
Brooks (illness) is available to play Wednesday against the Pacers. Brooks had been listed on the injury report with both an illness and a sore right knee, but he'll apparently play through both ailments and should consider to see a fairly heavy workload for the banged-up Grizzlies. Memphis will once again be without several regulars, including Mario Chalmers (hamstring), Deyonta Davis (knees) and JaMychal Green (ankle).
Brooks totaled 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Friday's 109-100 loss to the Clippers. Brooks continues to see big minutes for a Memphis team that is struggling with injuries. He has now scored in double-figures in six of his last seven games while playing at least 30 minutes in four of those games. With the Grizzlies looking to develop their youth, Brooks is in a nice position where he has some freedom to develop his game without the repercussions of losing ball games.
Brooks (illness) will start Monday against the 76ers. While the severity of his illness wasn't reported, Brooks will get the start Monday. It's unsure whether or not he is 100 percent, but the fact that Brooks is starting should be a good sign that he is feeling pretty well. In his eight games in JAnuary, Brooks is averaging 11.8 points over 26.4 minutes.
