  • Asa Newell PF | ATL

Hawks' Asa Newell: Shifts to bench

Newell won't start Friday's preseason finale against the Mavericks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

With most of Atlanta's regulars resting, Newell drew a spot start against the Thunder on Monday. However, the Hawks are at full strength Friday, so the second-year forward will come off the bench.

  • Corey Kispert SG | ATL

Hawks' Corey Kispert: Back to bench

Kispert won't start Friday's preseason finale against the Mavericks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

With most of Atlanta's regulars resting, Kispert started and finished with six points (2-11 FG, 2-9 3Pt), two assists, two blocks and one rebound in 26 minutes during Monday's 113-110 preseason win over the Thunder. The Hawks are back to full strength Friday, sending Kispert to a reserve role.

  • Hawks' Kingston Flemings: Not starting Friday

Flemings won't start Friday's preseason finale against the Mavericks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

With most of Atlanta's regulars resting, Flemings started and had seven points (3-11 FG, 1-2 FT), seven assists, two rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 113-110 preseason win over Oklahoma City. However, the Hawks are back to full strength for the final exhibition, so the rookie will slide to a reserve role.

  • Wizards' Anthony Davis: Starting Friday

Davis (rest) will start in Friday's preseason finale against the Pelicans.

Davis sat out Monday's preseason loss to the Nets for rest, but he's back and starting for the Wizards' preseason finale. Joining him in the first unit will be Trae Young, Kyshawn George, AJ Dybantsa and Alex Sarr.

  • Kings' Precious Achiuwa: Good to go Friday

Achiuwa (ankle) is available for Friday's preseason game against San Antonio, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

Achiuwa tweaked his ankle in Tuesday's 110-98 preseason loss to Portland. However, he is good to suit up for the Kings' final exhibition before facing the Clippers on Opening Night.

  • Moussa Cisse C | DAL

Mavericks' Moussa Cisse: Headed to bench

Cisse will come off the bench in Friday's preseason finale versus the Hawks.

Daniel Gafford (rest) is back and starting after sitting out Wednesday's preseason loss to the Pelicans, so Cisse will return to a reserve role. As a member of the second unit this preseason, Cisse is averaging 1.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game.

  • Naji Marshall SG | DAL

Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Headed to bench

Marshall will come off the bench in Friday's preseason finale against the Hawks.

Marshall started in Wednesday's exhibition loss to the Pelicans with Kyrie Irving (rest) unavailable, but Irving is back from his maintenance day. Marshall will be operating in a reserve role for the Mavs this season, so it'll be tough for him to find enough minutes to make an impact in fantasy leagues.

  • Zach LaVine SG | SAC

Kings' Zach LaVine: Playing versus Spurs

LaVine (rest) will play in Friday's preseason game against San Antonio, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

LaVine didn't play in Tuesday's exhibition versus Portland. However, he will suit up for the Kings' final preseason game before Opening Night. The 31-year-old will be looking to bounce back during the 2026-27 campaign after averaging 19.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 31.4 minutes in just 39 regular-season games in 2025-26.

  • Ben Simmons SG | SAC

Kings' Ben Simmons: Will play Friday

Simmons (rest) is available for Friday's preseason finale against San Antonio, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

Simmons will return from a one-game absence for rest purposes. He's expected to open the regular season as a member of Sacramento's starting five.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Available to play

Sabonis (undisclosed) is available for Friday's preseason finale against the Spurs, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

Sabonis is back after a three-game absence to close out the preseason. He'll likely start, which should push Precious Achiuwa back to the second unit.
