  • Fred VanVleet PG | HOU

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Not listed on injury report

VanVleet (knee) is off the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Hawks.

VanVleet missed the second half of the team's back-to-back set Saturday as he continues to ease back into play following a torn ACL last season, but he will be available Monday. Through two appearances, VanVleet is averaging 10.0 points, 8.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds in 31.0 minutes per contest.

  • Anthony Black SG | ORL

Magic's Anthony Black: Will make season debut Sunday

Black (ankle) is available for Sunday's game at New York, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Black didn't suit up in the preseason and missed Orlando's first two regular-season games with a right ankle sprain, but he'll shed his questionable tag and return to action Sunday. His return to the lineup will leave fewer minutes available for guys like Jase Richardson and Jevon Carter, though it wouldn't be surprising to see Black operate under a minutes restriction in his first game back.

  • Marcus Smart PG | HOU

Rockets' Marcus Smart: Iffy for Monday

Smart (forearm) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Hawks.

Smart is in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive contest due to a left forearm strain. If the veteran guard is ultimately ruled out, Reed Sheppard and Bogdan Bogdanovic would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes.

  • Knicks' Jose Alvarado: Not playing Sunday

Alvarado (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Magic, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Alvarado was deemed questionable Saturday due to a left ankle sprain, and the veteran guard won't suit up as a result of the injury. Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek should be in line for more playing time with Alvarado no longer an option off the bench. As for Alvarado, his next chance to play will come against the Pistons on Tuesday.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

Rockets' Steven Adams: Out for Monday

Adams has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hawks due to a right soleus strain.

Adams sat out Saturday's win over the Hawks in the second leg of a back-to-back set, though he's now being ruled out due to a right soleus strain. Clint Capela and Jabari Smith will likely see increased burn for as long as Adams is sidelined.

  • Aaron Nesmith SF | IND

    Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Available Sunday

Nesmith (hamstring) will play during Sunday's game against the Nets.

Nesmith was deemed probable ahead of Sunday's game due to a left hamstring strain, but he will be able to play through it. Nesmith made his first appearance of the season Friday and logged nine points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds and an assist in 20 minutes off the bench.

  • Gui Santos SF | GS

Warriors' Gui Santos: Questionable to play Monday

Santos is questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets due to left knee tendinitis.

Santos exited Saturday's 131-122 loss to the Suns with an undisclosed injury and did not return, and the questionable tag ahead of Monday's game is an issue for a Warriors team that doesn't have a lot of depth at forward at the moment. If Santos can't play Monday, and knowing that Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee) remain out, Georges Niang and Gary Payton could be in line to see expanded roles versus Denver.

  • Kon Knueppel SF | CHA

Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Ruled out for Monday

Knueppel (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards.

Knueppel will miss a third straight outing due to a left hamstring strain, with his next chance to play coming Wednesday at Detroit. The second-year swingman's continued absence will leave additional playing time available for the likes of Sion James and Grayson Allen.

  • Warriors' Brandon Williams: Probable against Denver

Williams is probable for Monday's game against the Nuggets due to left lower back soreness.

The back issue seems to be new for Williams, but he is expected to play through it Monday. Williams got a spot start Saturday against the Suns due to Golden State resting many players, and he made the most of the opportunity, recording 20 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-11 FT), five assists, three rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Absent from report

Podziemski (back) is no longer listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Podziemski didn't play Saturday against the Suns because of a back issue, but since the shooting guard isn't on the injury report, he should return to the starting lineup Monday. Stephen Curry (rest) is also expected back, so the Warriors could have their starting backcourt against Denver. Podziemski has made just one appearance this season -- he finished with 18 points (7-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists, two rebounds, three steals and one block in a 111-108 loss to the Grizzlies.
