Akingbulu (undisclosed) was waived by Washington with an injury designation Tuesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Akingbulu was working to earn a depth role with the Commanders before suffering the injury. He'll revert to IR, assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers.
