Anthony Zettel: Retires from football

Zettel announced his retirement from football Friday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Zettel signed with the 49ers in late July but will hang up his cleats after going through the early portion of training camp. The 29-year-old appeared in 50 games across five seasons and totaled 76 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
