Austin Calitro: Joins practice squad

Calitro signed with the Bengals' practice squad Monday.

Calitro was with the Bears in training camp, but he injured his hand in a preseason game and later was waived off injured reserve. He also spent time with the Broncos and Bengals in 2020, appearing in 13 games on special-teams duty, all with Denver. With Akeem Davis-Gaither (foot) placed on IR on Monday, the Bengals' linebacker unit is banged up enough for Calitro to eventually see time on the active roster.
