Brian Price: Retires from NFL

The Lions placed Price on the reserve/retired list Tuesday, Benjamin Raven of MLive.com reports.

The timing of Price's retirement opened up an extra roster spot, which Detroit used to claim Bruce Hector off waivers from the Titans. During his NFL career, Price suited up for a total of 21 games between the Packers, Raiders, Cowboys and Browns.
