The Dolphins activated Long (undisclosed) from the active/PUP list Sunday.
Long had been placed on the PUP list with an undisclosed issue Tuesday, but he's since been cleared to return to practice. The veteran linebacker is slated to play a near every-down role for the Dolphins' defense after racking up a career-best 113 tackles (64 solo) over 17 regular-season contests last year.
