Joe Haden: Released by Browns

The Browns released Haden on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Browns apparently couldn't find any teams willing to take on Haden's contract in a trade. The 28-year-old cornerback thus hits the open market eight days before the first game of the year, coming off back-to-back seasons marred by injuries and inconsistent play. Haden figures to draw interest from quite a few teams and shouldn't have too much trouble finding an opportunity to start.
