Freeman has been released by the Colts.
Freeman joined the Colts amid their quarterback injury crisis in late December and actually started the team's season-ending win just days later, completing 15-of-28 passes for 149 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Still, that performance wasn't enough to secure Freeman's future in Indianapolis, where fellow backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is set to leave this offseason as well, leaving a vacancy behind Andrew Luck on the Colts' depth chart.
