Lions' Corn Elder: Injures hamstring

Elder injured his hamstring in practice Monday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.

Elder played in all 16 games for the Panthers last season, racking up 40 tackles and one forced fumble. If this injury causes the 26-year-old to miss significant time, his bid for the starting nickelback position is not likely to come to fruition.
