Mykkele Thompson: Agrees to injury settlement

The Giants released Thompson (quadriceps) on Tuesday on an injury settlement, Art Stapleton of The Record reports.

Given the minor nature of Thompson's injury, the third-year safety wasn't expected to stay on the Giants' injured reserve list for long. He's now free to sign with another team.
